The Genesis Community Centre in Murchison...

Is a place of hope where community members overcome staggering challenges with faith and where individuals realise their self worth through the love of Jesus.
Situated in the heart of the Ugu District, Murchison lies in one of the regions with the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS in the world.  As a result, disease, unemployement and poverty are but a few of the daily struggles faced by a very courageous community.  Though Murchison is typical of several other local communities, Genesis also serves people from Gamalakhe, Mkholombe, Merlewood, Bobhoyi and Gamalakhe. In spite of the weight of the daily challenges facing inhabitants of these area, people are choosing to rise above their despair, by doing what they can to overcome and succeed.
